Moving On To Maturity (Part 23) -- Believing is Seeing (Hebrews 11:1-3)

Dr. David Stevens, February 4, 2018

Part of the Hebrews series, preached at the Sunday Morning service.

The Christian life is not intuitive. In fact, more often than not it is counter-intuitive. This is the “sixth sense” called the eyes of faith. For the vast majority, seeing is believing. But the Scriptures teach just the opposite: believing is seeing. Hebrews 11:1 says that “faith is the substance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” This amazing chapter is often called “The Hall of Faith;” it recounts the experience of ordinary people with extraordinary faith.
