The Awana program is a Bible centered ministry for children 3 years old to high school. Awana offers a fun, proven approach for early evangelism and discipleship. Scripture-based programs and exciting games promote Bible literacy and help kids develop lifelong faith in Christ. While at club each week, children participate in game time, handbook time, and large group discussions.
Your children from newborn to 2 years old will be cared for every Sunday morning for the entirety of the service by dedicated, responsible adults. On Sunday evenings, childcare is also available for children (0-2 years) while you attend a Bible Study, work in AWANA or help with the Youth Ministry. Parents are asked to provide a change of clothing, diapers, and a drink for each child.
Here at IBC, we take seriously the command of Christ to make disciples (Matt. 28:19-20). Disciple making doesn't happen overnight, but is a process in which we progressively learn more of Christ and become molded into His image.
We are an international congregation. Although the pastor preaches primarily in English, we are blessed with technology and translators which allow Francophones to hear the sermons in French. If you are new and don't know how to obtain a translation headset for the service please ask a greeter at the front of the church for assistance.
Our church believes in the value of missions. Here are some of the missionaries IBC-Jurbise supports:
APT: African Pastoral Training Ministries trains pastors in Africa to study, preach, and teach from the Bible.
Sixty Feet: Bringing hope and restoration to the imprisoned children of Africa in Jesus’ name.
Brad and Bethany Canfield: Missionaries to Soddo Christian Hospital in Soddo, Ethiopia.
Mike and Sarah Prewitt: Missionaries to Portugal.
