The Education Department’s theme in 2011 is “Focus on the Family”.  This is the direction the Lord desires for us to go this year.  We will get out of the boat by involving families in the learning process.

For the adults we will are start by giving the tools that our adults need to effectively raise their children and build their home on a foundation of God first.  To do this we will be using the course called “Growing Kids God’s Way.”  As we progress, through this series, we will allow God’s word and the words of wisdom from God’s people to permeate our minds so that we will be good soil where His word can take root.  The mouth of the righteous brings forth wisdom (Proverbs 10:31a).

The Berean Club is a tool that will help us to focus on our daily walk.

Vacation Bible School will help us to focus, not only on our family but also on other families as we involve children and adults in this equipping program.

We will conclude the year with Experiencing God. This series will involve the adult learners in a journey to get more in tuned with God’s word, God’s voice to help us experience God in a progressive way.

Now, running symmetrically with these goals will be the small groups focus.  We will have time for fellowship with each other, with God’s word, and with the Lord on a personal and intimate way.
