Sunday Services & Special Meetings
One of our values at IBC is corporate worship. We are always interested in learning about your musical talents ,whether they be your voice or instrumental, and how they may be incorporated into our worship services.
We have been blessed with technical equipment to help our Sunday services be heard by those in attendance and recorded for those who cannot be there. We need people to train for the equipment and be available to run the sound system.
We are an international congregation. Although the pastor preaches primarily in English, we are blessed with technology which allows Francophones to hear the sermons in French.
At IBC we value the Bible as the Word of God. We incorporate the public reading of the Bible into our Sunday services and always welcome volunteers who are interested in reading the scripture in the language that they feel most comfortable with.
Around The Church
God has blessed IBC with a building to meet in as a church and as a home base for our local ministry. Like any building, there are constantly projects and work being done to maintain what we have been given. We rely on volunteers who are willing to get their hands dirty to help keep facility costs down.
It rains a lot in Belgium and that means our plants and grass like to grow. We rely on volunteers who are willing to get their hands dirty as much as possible to help keep yard care costs down.
Between Sunday services, AWANA, and special events throughout the week our rooms and bathrooms do get dirty. We rely on volunteers who are willing to clean once a week to keep things sparkling.
Do you have a gift for organization, creating computer products, or maybe just sorting paperclips? There might be a special project waiting that you are the perfect fit for.
At IBC we strive to make everyone feel welcome. That starts at the front door with a smile and a greeting. The hospitality team needs friendly volunteers to greet every Sunday, hand out bulletins, and help new people get acclimated to IBC.
Coffee & Snacks
Every Sunday we like to fellowship both before and after the worship service in order to get to know each other and build relationships. The hospitality team needs volunteers each week to make coffee, provide snacks, and clean up.
Sometimes the biggest blessing comes in the form of a casserole. At IBC we love to help out families with new babies or going through a difficult time with meals to easy their domestic burden. The hospitality team needs volunteers willing to serve others by making and dropping off meals.
At IBC we have quarterly potluck meals after a Sunday service in order to fellowship with each other and further develop relationships. The hospitality team relys of volunteers serving to setup, teardown, and manage the potluck meal.
Children & Youth
The AWANA program is a Bible centered ministry for children 3 years old to high school that runs from September to May of each year. AWANA needs committed adults to both teach, facilitate, and substitute.
Following Sunday worship, children ages 3 years to 5th grade are dismissed for their own children's church service. Children's church needs adults to teach and facilitate these classes. Adults usually teach about once a month.
A nursery service is provided for children from newborns to two years of age during the Sunday morning service, on Sunday evening, and during special events. The nursery needs adults and responsible teenagers.
IBC hosts a Vacation Bible School once a year during the summer. VBS is a great way to reach our own children and the children in our local community. Each year we need motivated adults and teens to serve the children as teachers and facilitators.
Every week IBC produces a podcast of the Sunday message. The podcast is a real blessing for those who cannot attend the service and for many around the world who tune in.
Do you have experience with website design or administration? The IBC website is our way to communicate to the world what we are about and to help people find a church home where they can become a more faithful Christ follower.
Do you have a gift for photography? As we document events and get the word out about IBC ministries your talents could be put to use.
Do you have a gift for videography? As we document events and get the word out about IBC ministries your talents could be put to use.
The third Monday of every month IBC hosts a meal at Chievres Lodge. This is a great way for us to serve those who are either in a transition to or from the area. Every month we need people to serve by making food and/or serving food at the meal.
SHAPEFest is an annual event hosted by the local SHAPE military community. Every year IBC has a tent located at SHAPEFest and it is a great opportunity to serve and share those who are interested in finding a local church body. Each year as IBC prepares for SHAPEFest there is a need for people to take shifts at the tent and be available for setup and teardown.
IBC members support and participate in many ministries and mission organizations. As members go on mission trip around the world we encourage other IBC members to participate in anyway they are able, to include going themselves. Opportunities to serve in missions will be made known as they come available.
